Keep the Holiday Spirit Throughout the Year!
The holidays bring a renewal of generosity, gift giving, feasting and sharing. We dress up and try and find the best within and give the best outward. How can we capture this blessed spirit and keep it alive the rest of the year
There may not be the smell of a pine tree or lights on your home but the warmth and light of the season can stay in your heart and with a little effort you can share that with others.
The world needs your light and your best self to shine all year long. Here’s a simple process to help you to continue to create the holiday spirit and to allow you to not only be present but to be the present as you develop your gifts and goodness every day!
How to show up and bring the holiday into every day:
Three little things that make a difference and is a doable process.
Practice an act of kindness everyday. Say a kind word, let a car in traffic, hug a kid or call your grandmother.
Practice restraint in some way everyday. Stop being sarcastic and guard your tongue. Stop using harsh words or losing your temper. Stop overeating or any other form of self harm. Stop doing something hurtful everyday.
Give the gift of love. Feel it in your own heart first. Press it into someone’s next, believe that love really does rule the world and be the ambassador of love. Align with the energy of love and truthfully fake it til you make it if you feel awkward with love and genuinely feeling it and giving it.
On the 25th of every month (using traditional Christmas day as my day but you can pick another one) check in with yourself. How has your holiday spirit been going. Have some accountability with yourself. The 25th is your day to review your month.
Be compassionate with yourself. LIght your own candle first and be the guiding star for others. Be the gift and be your best self for the next 12 months and just watch how that wonderful holiday spirt stays all year.
Blessings,
Rainbow
