Ten Ways to Start Loving Yourself


Self Love

Each day is new and a renewal. Let self love’s splendor fill the beginning of each day and spill out into the rest of it.

Practice the following steps to develop a habit of self love. Let’s face it most of us weren’t taught to love ourselves as children or shown the tips and tricks of self affirmation.

Take baby steps and begin to value self and watch it grow and generate to the world around you.

Step one:

Daily gentle affirmations: I am love. I love from heart center and radiate it to all.

Step two:

Gratitude: practice this state of mind.

Step three:

What’s right with me? Make a list.

Step four:

Play the game of self love: I like this about me . . . .and name three things in each category: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Step five:

Play uplifting music. Listen to, “I Choose Love” by Shawn Gallaway

Step six:

Be still with self for 5 minutes.

Step seven:

Smile!

Step eight:

Stretch you body. Be in your body. Love the body.

Step nine:

Read a book. Yes, the old fashioned way by focusing on the pages. Read something that interests you and grow yourself. If you have learning disabilities listen to the book in audio format.

Step ten:

Get enough sleep. You’ll feel better, look better, and act better!

There is only one of you. Be good to you and share the love of self.
